I’ve only been on social media for 5 years. A large portion of my post are of places I’ve traveled, foods I’m eating, and gatherings of families and friends I’m attending. I’ve been asked, ‘why don’t you blog your travels?’ The thought seemed odd to me. I’m not a blogger. I’m just a guy who likes to share the places that I’ve traveled and fun times with family and friends. Part of it is so I will have memories that will pop up in future to remind me of my travels. Sort of like an interactive photo album that’s online. Part of it is my family likes to live through my photos of places they may never see. Part of it is my desire to inspire others to stop making excuses and live. I’ve been blessed to have been able to travel as much as I do, but there is still so much more to see. So at some point, I have to stop being asked ‘why’ and respond with ‘why not?’ So, like all rookies, I researched online for 30 mins and found WordPress for creating a blog. I don’t make any promises about constant content. I’m not sure how many trips I will be able to take each year between work and life. I can’t guarantee that I will enjoy the added work of maintaining a blog. What I can tell you is there is no excuse for not trying something new. Now, time to start booking some trips and blogging my thoughts away. I must say, this will be an adventure!
