When a buddy of mine and I missed out on the Bikes, Blues, & BBQ motorcycle rally that’s annually in Arkansas, we both agreed that we should make a trip up to ride the popular winding roads the next time we were free. I asked my friend that lives in Springdale when would be a good time to come up. This past weekend happened to be a little local music, craft beer, and bbq event downtown so a road trip was born. 4 days, just over 1400 miles, through 4 states all on 2 wheels. I can definitely see the draw to bikers to come to this area. There are some amazing winding roads that twist and turn up and down some of the most scenic mountainsides around. Another positive is how friendly, welcoming, and genuine the locals are around here. Every establishment we went we were greeted with a smile and offered suggestions for additional places to go. We got to visit 2 different Harley-Davidson shops at which one was hosting an event for Veterans. I couldn’t have been happier with how well this trip went with great friends accompanying me on one of my adventures. Successful trips like this make me want to plan a return visit. Live to ride…ride to live!
