Primeaux’s Adventure

I’m a biker. I like to travel to new places. However, I’m also a repeat visitor to the Lonestar Rally. Why? It’s held in Galveston Texas, one of the most beautiful towns on the gulf coast. It’s only a few hours and a ferry ride away. Somehow, the weather tends to cooperate. It was chilly on my way over to the island on Thursday, but absolutely perfect weather otherwise. I’m also familiar with the handful of restaurants and bars that I like to frequent. I love visiting with the locals that embrace the attendees of the rally. Sure there are some people that arrive and do stupid things like the shooting on the Strand. But I’m todays worlds reality, that can happen anywhere, anytime, and it will not dissuade me from attending the rally. There is live music constantly and everywhere. There are hundreds of thousands of beautiful bikes, cars, trucks, and other creative caravans. I enjoy the fellowship of the friends that attend with me and love running into friends throughout the rally at various places. Motorcycle rally’s are not for just bikers. Anyone can attend and have just as much fun as we bikers do. Well…almost as much fun. Already looking forward to next year. Get on your bikes and ride mi amigos!
