Sturgis 84th Rally

Last year I made my first trip up to Sturgis for the annual motorcycle rally alone. It was a bucket list accomplishment. This year I made the return trip with two buddies. One was his 8th time and another was his 1st. We focused on riding. Yes the rally and the party is great, but the roads around the Black Hills are a bikers paradise. We clocked in nearly 900 miles while in Sturgis area simply riding repeatedly through Spearfish Canyon, Vanocker Canyon, and Nemo. We found hole in the wall joints to eat and have beers with locals. We did catch concerts at the large venues, small venues, and enjoy the Main Street madness. But as a biker that rode 1,450 miles one way to get there, our primary goal was bending the curvy roads on two wheels. So much so that I’ve already booked a return trip for next year. Total was 3,850 miles round trip. Find something that moves you and go do it. Bucket list repeated…and on deck next year.
